The hills are alive
Today was a tough one, Thursdays are a combination of two workouts in little amount of time. I was in the gym for another 90 minutes then decided that I would run my 8k hill workout shortly there after. So within the hour of finishing my workout I started my run. I was tired for the first few km, which include a moderate climb but by halfway in I was warmed up and ready to go. At the first hard steep climb I ran up it faster than I ever have before, passing two people on it that made some comment that I didn't catch. I cruised down to start the next longer yet less steep climb and muscled my way up and over it. The last and most cruel of the hills in this lot is only .6k away, so I took what I had left and powered up. I had to focus near the top as I was pretty much out of gas. I crested the hill and found my second wind, bringing home the final couple of km really quick. 41:01 ~ 8.2km, 5:00 per km.
